Donations help keep Family House affordable for patients and caregivers, and provide the essentials while guests are staying at the House, such as groceries, household items, cleaning supplies, sheets, towels and everything else you use at home.

Planning Your Event

Please register your event with us so we can help! Contact us at info@secufamilyhouse.org or call (919) 932-8000. Although we are not able to provide funds for your event, we can send you our logo, brochures and other materials to help you tell the story of Family House. Fundraising at Your Event

At your event, describe the impact of charitable donations: safe, affordable housing for patients and caregivers who travel to Chapel Hill for medical care. Share the impact of Family House in North Carolina and beyond. 

Donations to SECU Family House at UNC Hospitals are tax-deductible as permitted by law. Family House is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. You can ask for donations in multiple ways:

• Checks made payable to SECU Family House at UNC Hospitals
• Online donations on the Family House website: secufamilyhouse.org/donate
• You can set up your own online fundraising page through Facebook at facebook.com/fund/FamilyHouseChapelHill
• Cash and cashier’s checks labeled with the donor’s information (so we can thank them properly!)

Be sure to take pictures and send them to us! Also send us any media coverage of the event.

After Your Event

Please send all donations to Family House within two weeks of your event. Family House will send gift receipts and thank you letters to donors, volunteers and sponsors with the contact information you provide.
