On an average day, we turn two out of every three families away because there is simply not enough room to house every family referred to us by UNC Hospitals. Fortunately, we have an arrangement with several hotels in the area where many of these families can stay at a reduced rate. While it’s not the same as staying in our beautiful House, at least these patients and caregivers know of good alternative housing options.

One of the local hotels we refer families to is the Sheraton Chapel Hill. Not only have they provided comfortable and safe housing for many of our guests, they’re also an organization that believes in giving back to the community. After collecting items from our Wish List, some of their employees recently dropped the food off to our hospitality house. Included with these needed items was a poster with encouraging words for our guests!
