2018 is a milestone year for SECU Family House at UNC Hospitals as we celebrate 10 years of serving patients and their loved ones. This September is just as eventful, with two worthwhile events you don't want to miss.

On Wednesday, September 12, we welcome you to attend our highly anticipated Groundbreaking! Our general contractor, J.D. Beam, is finalizing design plans now for our expansion from 40 to 75 guest rooms. 

This historic event is free, and all are welcome. Please note that parking spaces in the Family House parking lot are for our guests—patients and their caregivers. The Ronald McDonald House (next door), North Carolina Botancial Gardens (across from us on Old Mason Farm Road), and UNC Athletics (farther down Old Mason Farm Road) have offered their parking lots for our use. On Friday, September 14, please join us for The 2018 Gala to celebrate the past, present, and future of Family House. The event at The Carolina Inn starts at 6:00 P.M. and promises to dazzle attendees with an unforgettable dinner, dancing, and camaraderie.
